Overall for me, the hardest thing about finding information and doing research on a topic is if the information I am receiving is factual or not. You never know if the information posted on a web page is true. For me personally, it is hard finding information directly. I have research a lot in order to find a fine answer that my teacher wants. I learned that you cannot just type a whole sentence on Google because somehow it will not lead you to a correct answer. For me, I have always typed in the important words and try different phrases on Google to find my answers. I also look at different websites to see if the information I’m receiving is correct. Another hard thing when researching on the web is work citing the web page. Some websites don’t give out direct work cited so it can be difficult for others create a correct work cited.
I took a Library Research class in a five week summer program and I have learnt about plagiarism and websites that can fool readers into thinking that facts on the sites were true. It was helpful because it was a review for students like me. The most helpful topic that I felt I could use in college was learning about plagiarism because now I have a better understanding of what plagiarism is and how I can use it to my advantage and to not plagiarize. I also learned that if students plagiarize in college, it is a very serious situation that I do not want to get stuck in.

Internet versus Books
"Since everything is on the Internet, I dont need books....right?"
Responding to that statement, I believe that this is false. Not everything on the internet is true. For example, on Wikipedia it does not cite who stated the text. It could be anyone that could change the text into false information. A good site should consist a person who is professional about that certain topic. I know that internet is not the only resourse when finding information. Internet is the easiest and quickest way to use to grab out information.
We need books because books actually provide factual information that was published from professionals. Books can actually help us learn definitions better than from the internet. Without books, all the information on the internet would not even be posted and shared to the people who are browsing for facts and informations online because books educate the person who is posting up the information on the internet. In America, most people are lazy and try to take "short cuts" because any information you need is just a click away but may not be true, but books take patience and a long process browsing through a book for information because books are rarely to have false statements.
Books also goes through revision, constantly being perfected but it is the opposite of the internet. The internet is not revised because one can copy and paste information that they have found on a site. The internet is also like a diary. It's only the author's opinion, which may not be factual. The author might think their idea is correct but in reality, they are false.

Librarians
What do you think librarians do?
Although librarians seem like they are sleeping on the job, they actaully keep the library neat and tidy every day. They help people in the library find out information about books, dvds, and computer access. They organize their books on the shelf in order; for example fictions verses nonfictions, author's last names in alphebetical order, and title's of a book in alphabetical order. They are really helpful to all different kinds of people that come into the library. They want to spread the love of reading books to people of all ages.
What do you think would be really cool if librarians started doing it?
I think it would be wonderful if librarians actually assosiate with their daily guests because it grows a bond and connection between the two. It would also educate the guests about information on finding a book, using a computer or renting a dvd.
What do you think the library of the future might look like?
I believe that in future, the library will consist more of technology such as updated ipads. Instead of reading a book manually, we can use the ipad to read any book we type in it which would make our lives much more easier than finding one book in different libraries that can be far from where one lives. If we wanted to read a manual book, there would be a technology that pulls the book off the shelf and transports to us in the front of the library. In the future, there might be a possibility of a whisper room. In this room, guests can talk as loud as they want but on the outside of this room it only seems like they are whispering because libraries are meant to be a quiet place for independent studies.

My Goals in the Future.
When I am done with high school I hope to get into a good college to pursue my nursing degree. I am looking forward into attending University Of Colorado at Denver. When I go into college I want to study in Nursing and receive my R.N. I currently am thinking of recieving my Bachelors degree but I might reach further and try to achieve my Masters in Nursing. Nursing is just an option for me but I know that I want to go into the medical field. I just hope I could learn more about other occupations in the Medical field so I could have my options of what I want to do. I want to get into the Medical field because I really love helping people overcome their difficulties and provide better care. I want to make a difference in the world by helping others heal physically and mentally. One of my goals is to visit a foreign country and provide my assistance to families that cannot afford medical help because I know families in foreign countries might not have access to it.
The Pre-Collegiate program is helping me reach my goals because this program gives me a preview of what I will be learning in college and prepare me of little introduction to Human Anatomy along with Health Disparities. This program also shows colleges that I'm serious about my future and it also shows that I am willing to go the extra mile to achieve my goals. Overall, I know that the Pre-Collegiate program will have a positive effect towards my future.
